This 12 week programme starts with looking at why charities exist, and identifying local, national and international causes.
Entirely led by the group, fundraising ideas are brainstormed, evaluated and then chosen.
A visit to the Hospice, gives the Young People an idea of what they are fundraising for, and promotes connection with the local community and the cause they are working to support.
The young people then work through planning the event, marketing and promoting it, including designing posters, creating social media posts, and anything else that is needed to make it a success.
The programme also covers basic costing, budgeting and bookkeeping.
Taking charge of the event itself provides real world experience, as well as a portfolio demonstrating skills, and at least three Level One AQA's.
